Active And Resolved Cases
We’re proud of the work we do for our clients. See below to get a glimpse at some of the ongoing and resolved cases brought with the help of Campbell Miller Payne, PLLC.
ACTIVE – Breen v. Olson-Kennedy, M.D., et al. (filed December 5, 2024)
Clementine Breen’s story begins with her as a traumatized, vulnerable 12-year-old girl in need of competent counseling and mental health care. Instead of receiving that competent care, she was taken to the largest pediatric gender clinic in the country, the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, and treated by Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy, its Medical Director and one of the most prominent advocates for pediatric “gender-affirming care.” Clementine was fast-tracked into puberty blockers (at age 12 after a single visit), cross-sex hormones (age 13), and a “gender-affirming” double mastectomy (age 14). We are honored to help Clementine pursue her claims and seek to hold accountable the practitioners who so grievously harmed her.

ACTIVE – Hineman v Planned Parenthood Federation of America (filed April 23, 2024)
In the first lawsuit of its kind, Cristina Hineman is suing Planned Parenthood and other health care providers for the harm they have inflicted on her body and the pain she is left with. Like so many other vulnerable and struggling girls and young women, she sought help for her mental health struggles but was instead recklessly sent down a path of medicalization that began with cross-sex hormones and sadly culminated in a double mastectomy of her healthy breasts. We are honored to represent her in holding Planned Parenthood and others accountable for the damage they have done and continue to do.

ACTIVE – Ulery v. Rafferty, et al. (filed October 20, 2023)
Layton’s case is one that we are both honored and saddened to help her bring. Representing one of the worst instances of the willful ignorance of psychological red flags by practitioners that we’ve encountered, her case reflects just how far some doctors and therapists will deviate from the standard of care when focused only on pressing their personal transgender ideologies and agendas.

ACTIVE – Ayala v. American Academy of Pediatrics, et al. (filed October 23, 2023)

You can read more about her case and the defendants, as summarized by the Daily Wire, here, or download the complaint in its entirety below.

ACTIVE – Stewart v. Turco, et al. (filed November 21, 2023)
Amanda Stewart is seeking to hold accountable the health care professionals she trusted but who misled her into taking testosterone for many years and having her healthy breasts, uterus, and ovaries removed. Amanda’s story is a heart-wrenching representation of the negligence and lack of proper procedure in the practice of so-called “gender-affirming care.” We are honored to represent Amanda in her fight for justice in New Hampshire.

ACTIVE – Miller v. Identity Hormones, LLC, et al. (filed April 12, 2024)
Christopher Miller is seeking justice for injuries caused by an Arizona clinic and staff who placed him on estradiol—a potent estrogen, the primary female hormone—and a testosterone-blocking drug called spironolactone. As a result of those prescriptions, Christopher experienced significant gynecomastia, a condition of overdevelopment or enlargement of the breast tissue in men. He also developed severe pain and discomfort in his chest and suffered psychological and emotional distress. We are honored to represent Christopher as he seeks to hold his health care providers accountable

ACTIVE – Towe v. United States of America (filed April 24, 2024
Shawn and Karen Towe are seeking justice for their son, Corey Towe, who tragically committed suicide at the young age of 21 after being placed on estradiol and spironolactone by staff at Cherokee Health Systems in Tennessee. Because the clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center, this action is brought as a Federal Tort Claims Act case against the United States. The team at Campbell Miller Payne and the Towe family are dedicated to honoring Corey’s memory and preventing this tragedy from happening to other families.
